The CRDC provides valuable information about access to educational opportunities in our nation's public schools

The Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) collects data from more than 17,700 public local educational agencies and over 98k schools, including justice facilities, charter schools, alternative schools, and schools serving only students with disabilities.

The collection helps the U.S. Department of Education better monitor key education and civil rights issues, including student enrollment and educational programs and services, disaggregated by factors such as race/ethnicity, sex, English Learner status, and disability status.
